I've only been a fan of LOTR for 10 months. This is my first ever experience stepping in a LOTR community and I have been enjoying my time here. My boyfriend encouraged me to join and I'm glad I followed. I've been welcomed with open arms, expanded my knowledge through daily Visions in the Stone questions, entered several fellowships... I've never entered such a community that was willing to listen to what you have to say, even if you're wishing someone a good day. I truly feel like I have a place in the fan club. Thank you.
This is such a kind corner of the Internet, a place for Ringers the world over to come and talk and joke and share and bond over a series that has united so many for so long. It's a peaceful little place to spend among good company, and I'm very grateful to be a part of such a sweet community!
The LOTR fan club has become my favorite place to hang out online. I love sharing a deep appreciation of Tolkien with friends across the globe, in a place that's uplifting and fun, the way the internet was meant to be. The 20 person fellowships are my favorite part of the site, since they allow you to really get to know other fans and work together to fulfill challenges and quests. And the team behind the site is amazingly responsive and involved. I just can't say enough about how much I love spending time here!
I’m so glad to have gotten involved with the fan club again. I was a member years ago and I love the way it has transformed and connected fans around the world. Where else can you go and find someone to talk Tolkien with you any time of day? It’s the friendliest online space I am part of, and I’m very grateful for the team running it and thinking of new ways to make it fun and special for us.
The way everyone looks to lift each other up, whether by a simple, warm greeting to friends around the camp fire, cheering someone up after they've lost their streak in a diversion, or giving a kind word and support during a trying time. Moreover, no voice is overlooked - whether a member, steward, or keeper - each person here is important to the overall community and all make this place better each and every day. In sum, it's a strong fellowship that shows amazing feats can be accomplished when we band together for the greater good.
The amazing love and positivity that can be found in every nook and cranny of this club is what keeps me coming back every day (several times a day) for a little boost! I am amazed that every single interaction is filled with joy and happiness. I have not encountered a single negative person or came across a bad comment. I love that!
There is a kindness here you don’t find in many corners of the internet. I can tell that every aspect of this site is lovingly crafted by true fans, and the keepers really take members suggestions into consideration. It feels like a true little community we’re developing here.
I love having a piece of Middle-earth to look forward to every day. Earning mathoms is my favorite part, and the daily games are so fun that I even have an alarm set for when they reset. It’s a breath of fresh air to have a place where we can simply geek out over Tolkien and have fun together! I love the sense of fellowship, especially the team quests and cheering each other on. A shoutout to our Keeper for creating something special, engaging with us, and listening to our feedback. Thank you for our little corner of Middle-earth!
I enjoy the daily games that bring me in, and the active and passionate community that keeps me here. It’s been fun to solve quests and discuss lore with people who are equally interested in the legendarium. The site has that old internet feel with modern internet sensibilities.
I love the club and, above all, its wonderful community. There’s no bad blood between users and we all get along like one big, happy family. I love how much the Keepers care about the community and how much work and heart they put into everything. The events, the questions people ask every day, the shared love of Tolkien… it all creates such a wonderful sense of friendship and belonging. It’s truly a community Tolkien himself would be proud of! ❤️
I am so grateful that this club exists. I don’t have many friends or family who are as into LoTr and Tolkien as I. My companions here are friends I didn’t know I had, and the Fellowships are a great home base-especially the campfire. Love the common room. Things are always hopping there. And so very grateful for the Keepers and the way they respond and care. Seriously the best place ever.
This club has just been a great way to learn more about the subject I love. It's also been super fun to get my friends together and join a fellowship and have a place to talk Tolkien.
For me, it means a place to be cozy. And to always have a fellowship when I go to a convention!

I love the sense of community here. It's not very often you can get this many Tolkien fans into one place without everyone disagreeing on something. But here, it feels like a cozy, warm place. Very welcoming. And somewhere that feels kind of safe in comparison to other venues.
I love the spirit and encouragement from the community here, there is a lovely passion for not just the books or films, but the language, the food, the art, there are so many ways to fall in love with the work, and the meaning of companionship comes through from the books to here amongst us all, and in a world filled with shadows, that is a lot of powerful light.
I love that the Fan Club makes Middle-earth feel like a place we are still exploring together. There is always another piece of lore to learn, another question to debate, another story to remember, and another fan who sees something I never noticed before. Tolkien gave us a world built on stories, fellowship, and the keeping of memory, and I love having a community where we get to continue all three. It keeps me reading, wondering, sharing, and finding my way back to Middle-earth again and again. 🍃📚

This fan club gives me a little escape each day and allows me to feel like I’m in the shire instead of sitting at a desk.
Being able to connect with other Tolkien fans has been an incredible experience. There are so many of us all over the world, the fellowships are my favourite where we can talk about our shared love for a specific facet of Middle Earth, like our admiration for the Elven languages. Everyone in this community has been so warm and welcoming, and the fact that there is always something to do here is fun!
What I love about this fan club is the very real sense of shared experience, community, and love for The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien’s greater legendarium. Everything that makes this world, these characters, and this story so great is preserved here by the fans and the stewards of this club; camaraderie, puzzles, secrets, celebration; all culminating in a grand shared adventure as we make meaning of this life, together. I always felt I was not fan enough or too much, I joined that club not knowing what it was going to be like but a little afraid and I never expected the outcome... Fellowship has now a new meaning! Everyone is kind, funny, discussions are flowing without even thinking about it. I learn new stuff everyday and logging in always bring a smile on my face and brighten my day. It's not for show, this place is one of the best corners of internet. Come join us, you'll feel at home!
I love that I’m able to converse, heart, interact with a group that will never judge me for my nerdiness. We all love the world of Middle Earth and the world that Tolkien created. There’s so much to explore on this site, it feels endless. I love the diversions, they’re all so fun!!
The Official Fan Club of The Lord of the Rings is a great community. People gather from around the world to share the same passion for Tolkien's work. Oh! And for Hobbit Day, there are fireworks !
This means the world to me, truly. I love the positivity, the togetherness and the acceptance of all. No one cares what I look like, how I found the world of Tolkien, they just accept me and love me for being a fan. No judgement is a freeing thing and wonderful embrace all at once.

The Diversions keep me coming back, but I love finding new things. In the Common Room and throughout the Official Fan Club.
I like a lot the ridles ! Everyday, all games makes me feel a little in Middle-Earth ^^ And for be honest, I have no friend in real life for talk about it... I found some peoples who like the same universe than me ! The true problem is... I am a little shy by nature ! So it's really hard for me to speak in "Common Room" :D
Why does The Balrog keep coming back? That’s a good question. It would be easy to say that it’s my incessant need to be validated and constantly praised. It would be another to say that I have an unquenchable thirst for evil that is never satisfied. It would be perhaps even more accurate to say I’m just hungry and I like the taste of fear. Yet perhaps the truest reason of them all is that despite what may be commonly known, even Balrogs enjoy being around fun people at times. The chase is impossible if there’s no one to chase.

I like the puzzles and games that app has and i like the quotes and lore I get every day.
This fanclub gives me a comfort that is lost in recent years. In a world of clout, it's a comfort to enjoy something without feeling like you have to earn your space. Not once have I felt like a lesser fan because I could not do more or be as present as others. Thank you for giving us this space so that we can be together and share our enjoyment as our time allows.

I love meeting others who love Middle Earth as much as I do. I like challenging myself with the trivia and other games. I like that kindness and loyal companions isn't a think of the past. The diversity within a supportive community is a beautiful thing. I also love the challenges to write creatively or say lots in few words.

I was too young to be a part of it when the movies first came out those many moons ago. And now it’s back, and I’ve found my people at last! It is nice to have this last homely house as a refuge against the growing shadow. I’ve also always dreamed of a Middle-earth themed Wordle, and Westron has exceeded expectations!
It’s been a while since I discovered a place of friendship that includes LOTR and a mutual love & respect for the writings (and the movies!!!). I spend casual free time here quite often, laughing with fellow readers & brainstorming to solve daily diversions. I encourage everyone to join - we’re all a big family and no one goes left unseen. A true testament to what fellowship means.
I love the Official Fan Club because it makes Middle-earth feel like a place we can all return to together. Community and camaraderie. I didn't know many Tolkien fans when I was growing up, and it felt a bit isolating. Being here and seeing so many others, all across the world, who love Tolkien's works just as much as I do (and possibly more!), is so heartwarming.

In a time full of turmoil and strife, this fellowship - this small corner of the internet where little folk and big folk, and elves and dwarves have gathered to celebrate and share tales - has given me much hope. I love Tolkien and I've never been in a fan club before. It's cool to see others being just as, and occasionally more, nerdy as I am.

This is one of the most interactive communities I have ever been a part of, and any issues with the app or an activity is fixed almost immediately. That is a testament to the dedication of the team.
I have loved Tolkien’s work for more than forty years, and this club gives me something very special: a place to share that love with good folk who feel the same. The wonderful team behind it has created a beautiful little corner of Middle-earth, full of warmth, friendship, events and things to discover. There is always something happening, and always a reason to come back. It feels a little like finding a second home in the Shire.
This club has been a wonderful source of kindness and generosity and a bit of humor all centered around a common love of the works of Tolkien. It has been a very enjoyable group to be a part of.
I think the Official Fan Club gives me that old-school feel I’ve been looking for. It reminds me of those days when users could remain anonymous and interact in a collaborative way. I also enjoy the daily puzzles and achievements. Although I can’t spare much time for it on a daily basis, I still get that sense of enjoyment from even just this much. This probably makes it even more successful than it actually is.

I enjoy the daily games. Being able to talk to people is nice, and while I don't often participate, it's nice to read the conversations. Having one spot for announcements about LotR related merch is a huge perk.
To me this fellowship is the coming of many friends from across different places and cultures binding us together for the love of all things Middle Earth. I have made so many lasting memories and friendships that I genuinely cherish and hope to continue for as long as possible.
Happy am I to have a place to escape and share a love of good things with such fine folk as you all. Earning mathoms, reading posts, and participating in quick diversions brings me joy and helps me unwind when I start feeling “like butter scraped over too much bread.”
I love collecting mathoms and playing the games kkkkkkk. But I also like to interact with the fans. I'm always learning new informations, having fun, and I don't feel judged like in some other spaces I was. And the team here is awesome, always making sure the members are having a great time

In a large, complex and increasingly distressing world, the Fan Club celebrates simplicity, joy in little things, kindness and of course, our shared love of all things Tolkien. A place where no matter how nerdy you are about Middle-earth, there'll always be someone nerdier...and it isn't a competition.

I joined out of curiosity and stayed for the enjoyment. No pressure to engage, impress anyone or collect achievements makes me want to engage more, communicate freely and casually collect a nice mathom or two in the process. Also the minigames - a fun way to start or end the day.
The community is fun and supportive, and the fine folks who run it are always improving things and adding new ways to take part. It's a great space that honors Tolkien's legacy.

Finding others with nerd out to an ancient world, possible to this world even. Not letting this world slip into dust on a shelf forgotten but reading it again every so often. Order found probably when we most needed in our own lives, most likely in our teens, seeking out a grand fantasy adventure so unlike our growing years. Life changed, for better or worse but these books remain an anchor and now we have others to share it with.
I love the community here. Everyone is so kind and compassionate. Being in a fan club also guarantees you all have one common interest, yet people from all over with all sorts of different backgrounds participate. It is a site unlike anywhere I’ve ever been on the internet.
What makes me come back everyday is the possibility to talk about something I love (the Tolkien universe) with people who understand what I feel and share the same love. And also because the admins are so receptive with our ideas and questions.

Most of us (I think) do not have that chance in real life so thank you so much for your creation! What fun to share with others, one's experience of Arda and Middle-Earth. Such wonderful warm feelings when reading or hearing, thinking and talking about Tolkien's world.
I love the club because I get to meet fellow fans of the works of Tolkien. We get to share our love for the world he built for us and also have fun together. This is a special place.
My day begins with a visit to LOTR.com. It is a solace to find community, do some distractions/diversions, and imagine myself away from my daily life/reality. It is a bit of solace in a cold uncaring world.
Its lovely to be part of a wholesome friendly community, one who loves all things Tolkien the same or if not more than me. Its been really nice to meet like minded people from all over the world.
I keep coming back to this club for many reasons ! The activities and games offer variety and creativity. I tend to get obsessed with collections. The orientation toward genuine and thoughtful engagement is refreshing. And the continuous celebration of a fandom and body of literature that I love is infectious!
I have been a massive fan of these books since I was quite young. It was my pleasure to get to see the world rediscovered them through the movies, and to have my significant others finally understand why I loved them so much. Now I have a place where I can interact with all manner of like-minded individuals, and that's a great feeling.
I love this place. It's a corner of the internet that feels a bit like the Shire - there's joy, fun, and people who treat each other like neighbors. The club is a safe place to marvel, be the best kind of nerd, and enjoy it all.
This fellowship has made me cherish people I don't know, collaborate with companions from all around the world, smile very often (and even laugh out loud sometimes!) and, in general, feel like an important part of something big and wonderful. This is a safe place in a very dark world wide web, where we are free to be our nerdy selves, enjoy the little things, and just talk about things that bring us joy and make our lives more magical. The club is an outlet of stability and connection that you can return to, in a world full of increasing dangers that seek to drain whimsy and joy. There is comfort in the camaraderie that is freely given. The acceptance freely offered. The kindness’s freely shared. And bonding, not just over Prof. Tolkien’s incredible works, but over genuine curiosity and excitement.
In absolutely no way was I expecting to get into this so much when I found out that the fan club was announced. It is very apparent that this is a labour of love and made by the fans for the fans. I keep coming back because this is my favorite universe since the first time I got scared in the cinema watching The Fellowship of the Ring as a child. It could also be my love for collecting mathoms.

It’s not often I find companions who are akin to myself in my love and adoration for the world Tolkien provides in text and illustration! This club provides them and more! It’s a wonderful and well-kept corner of the world that the Keepers have thought up and acted on! Some companions feel as if I’ve known them for years!
This club truly feels like a community and it's so wholesome! Every member and staff I have interacted with all have genuinely kind hearts. Also, I love daily riddles and collectables are an awesome bonus! The effort put into this club is legendary!
Being a huge fan of Middle-earth since I discovered it in 2003, I love sites and fan clubs dedicated to the franchise I love. I was always on lordoftherings(.)net and exploring all the goodies there, so when the new Lord of the Rings Fan Club was announced over the summer I was so elated. A place where I get to engage with my favorite franchise with other fans, sharing my love for these stories and characters. I love all the features and games the site offers and gives good reason to visit every day!
I'm so very grateful for this site. As I've mentioned, I live in the middle of nowhere and haven't really had friends who I could fully share my love of Tolkien with. This website provides that fellowship and so much more, including the mathoms, games and quests! I'm so grateful to the Keepers for making this site, their responsiveness and the sense of fun. This is an example of how people can be wonderful to each other. Everyone is kind because this is a place for kindness. It is a reminder that the shire is both far away, lost in a land of myth and also right here, in the hearts of everyone you meet. In a cynical, cruel internet, this is a bastion of kindness, groundedness, and peace.
The fan club is fun and wholesome wrapped into one! I love the atmosphere that has been created here, and all the gentle stroking that keeps it that way. The daily games and quests are all so fun, with just enough personal competition that it has me hooked! As a geek who obsessed over my favorite things, it's fun to have somewhere to go for my Middle Earth love---somewhere that is away from socal media (and away from all that comes with social media). I love that this is a place of goodness, fun, and commraderie!

At its heart, Middle Earth is about community. This club gives people the opportunity to find that community without having to stumble through the mire of social media. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this experience.
Firstly, the sense of community here is quite amazing. So many people joined by a common love of all things Tolkien. 🥰 I also love the daily diversions, they have become a morning ritual.

The Official Fan Club feels like the old web again. Not louder. Just alive. I have not had this great time on the interwebs since the early 2000s, on TOR, for movie buzz. The books are old by the Professor’s clock, the films belong to the recent past, yet— the room is full. The tale was written down so it would not be lost. I love how much effort has been put in to make this a great fan experience. The games, the random lore, the ability to interact with other fans, everything just comes together to create a welcoming environment for fans of this wonderful franchise and its author.
I love that this fan club is so positive, interactive, and wide reaching. It fills my cup to be able to discuss something I love so dearly and learn new things about it every day, from such a kind and diverse group of people. It feels gravity defying!
The LOTR Fanclub has created a place on the internet that celebrates Tolkien's work in a way that promotes readers to revisit these great tales. I've found that most people drawn to this place feel empowered to put forth their best behavior in the same manner of the kind folks in his books. It's a small corner of the internet, but the international collaborations in our fellowships make it feel much larger. This fanclub is just one piece in a much larger garden that has been tended to and occupied by fans for many years, and it's enjoyable to visit.
I absolutely love this place! We are growing a positive, welcoming, funny community, that reminds me of an old village, where everyone kind of knows and likes each other, and do what they can to encourage the organic growth of this... will I dare to say home? Yes I will!
I love that there is a place to gather with others who love Tolkien. The common room, quests, games and fellowships are a lot of fun.
Fellowship is a valuable thing if its own accord. I enjoy the challenge and sense of belonging. It makes me feel closer to friends near and far.
