I’m so glad to have gotten involved with the fan club again. I was a member years ago and I love the way it has transformed and connected fans around the world. Where else can you go and find someone to talk Tolkien with you any time of day? It’s the friendliest online space I am part of, and I’m very grateful for the team running it and thinking of new ways to make it fun and special for us.

The LOTR fan club has become my favorite place to hang out online. I love sharing a deep appreciation of Tolkien with friends across the globe, in a place that's uplifting and fun, the way the internet was meant to be. The 20 person fellowships are my favorite part of the site, since they allow you to really get to know other fans and work together to fulfill challenges and quests. And the team behind the site is amazingly responsive and involved. I just can't say enough about how much I love spending time here!

I love that the Fan Club makes Middle-earth feel like a place we are still exploring together. There is always another piece of lore to learn, another question to debate, another story to remember, and another fan who sees something I never noticed before. Tolkien gave us a world built on stories, fellowship, and the keeping of memory, and I love having a community where we get to continue all three. I love that I’m able to converse, heart, interact with a group that will never judge me for my nerdiness. We all love the world of Middle Earth and the world that Tolkien created. There’s so much to explore on this site, it feels endless. I love the diversions, they’re all so fun!!

This is one of the most interactive communities I have ever been a part of, and any issues with the app or an activity is fixed almost immediately. That is a testament to the dedication of the team.

I like a lot the ridles ! Everyday, all games makes me feel a little in Middle-Earth ^^ And for be honest, I have no friend in real life for talk about it... The Official Fan Club of The Lord of the Rings is a great community. People gather from around the world to share the same passion for Tolkien's work. Oh! And for Hobbit Day, there are fireworks !

Love having a place to share ones fondness for all things Tolkien! It's great to see other people enjoying coming together and sharing our knowledge, craftsmanship and joy!

The way everyone looks to lift each other up, whether by a simple, warm greeting to friends around the camp fire, cheering someone up after they've lost their streak in a diversion, or giving a kind word and support during a trying time. Moreover, no voice is overlooked - whether a member, steward, or keeper - each person here is important to the overall community and all make this place better each and every day. In sum, it's a strong fellowship that shows amazing feats can be accomplished when we band together for the greater good.

This fan club gives me a little escape each day and allows me to feel like I’m in the shire instead of sitting at a desk.

Being able to connect with other Tolkien fans has been an incredible experience. There are so many of us all over the world, the fellowships are my favourite where we can talk about our shared love for a specific facet of Middle Earth, like our admiration for the Elven languages. Everyone in this community has been so warm and welcoming, and the fact that there is always something to do here is fun!

It's nice to have found a place where fellow lovers of the works of Tolkien can all come together in good cheer.

Why does The Balrog keep coming back? That’s a good question. It would be easy to say that it’s my incessant need to be validated and constantly praised. It would be another to say that I have an unquenchable thirst for evil that is never satisfied. It would be perhaps even more accurate to say I’m just hungry and I like the taste of fear. Yet perhaps the truest reason of them all is that despite what may be commonly known, even Balrogs enjoy being around fun people at times. The chase is impossible if there’s no one to chase.

In a large, complex and increasingly distressing world, the Fan Club celebrates simplicity, joy in little things, kindness and of course, our shared love of all things Tolkien. A place where no matter how nerdy you are about Middle-earth, there'll always be someone nerdier...and it isn't a competition.

I like the puzzles and games that app has and i like the quotes and lore I get every day.

It’s been a while since I discovered a place of friendship that includes LOTR and a mutual love & respect for the writings (and the movies!!!). I spend casual free time here quite often, laughing with fellow readers & brainstorming to solve daily diversions. I encourage everyone to join - we’re all a big family and no one goes left unseen. A true testament to what fellowship means.

I love meeting others who love Middle Earth as much as I do. I like challenging myself with the trivia and other games. I like that kindness and loyal companions isn't a think of the past. The diversity within a supportive community is a beautiful thing. I also love the challenges to write creatively or say lots in few words.

Community and camaraderie. I didn't know many Tolkien fans when I was growing up, and it felt a bit isolating. Being here and seeing so many others, all across the world, who love Tolkien's works just as much as I do (and possibly more!), is so heartwarming.

I have loved Tolkien’s work for more than forty years, and this club gives me something very special: a place to share that love with good folk who feel the same. The wonderful team behind it has created a beautiful little corner of Middle-earth, full of warmth, friendship, events and things to discover. There is always something happening, and always a reason to come back. It feels a little like finding a second home in the Shire.

This club has been a wonderful source of kindness and generosity and a bit of humor all centered around a common love of the works of Tolkien. It has been a very enjoyable group to be a part of.

I think the Official Fan Club gives me that old-school feel I’ve been looking for. It reminds me of those days when users could remain anonymous and interact in a collaborative way. I also enjoy the daily puzzles and achievements. Although I can’t spare much time for it on a daily basis, I still get that sense of enjoyment from even just this much. This probably makes it even more successful than it actually is.

I keep coming back to the Club because of the positivity of the community that is developing. It’s not filled with internet trolls like other platforms. Everyone is so kind and encouraging, brought together over a shared interest in the works of Tolkien.

Finding others with nerd out to an ancient world, possible to this world even. Not letting this world slip into dust on a shelf forgotten but reading it again every so often. Order found probably when we most needed in our own lives, most likely in our teens, seeking out a grand fantasy adventure so unlike our growing years. Life changed, for better or worse but these books remain an anchor and now we have others to share it with.

What makes me come back everyday is the possibility to talk about something I love (the Tolkien universe) with people who understand what I feel and share the same love. And also because the admins are so receptive with our ideas and questions.

I love the club because I get to meet fellow fans of the works of Tolkien. We get to share our love for the world he built for us and also have fun together. This is a special place.

My day begins with a visit to LOTR.com. It is a solace to find community, do some distractions/diversions, and imagine myself away from my daily life/reality. It is a bit of solace in a cold uncaring world.

Its lovely to be part of a wholesome friendly community, one who loves all things Tolkien the same or if not more than me. Its been really nice to meet like minded people from all over the world.

I keep coming back to this club for many reasons ! The activities and games offer variety and creativity. I tend to get obsessed with collections. The orientation toward genuine and thoughtful engagement is refreshing. And the continuous celebration of a fandom and body of literature that I love is infectious!

I have been a massive fan of these books since I was quite young. It was my pleasure to get to see the world rediscovered them through the movies, and to have my significant others finally understand why I loved them so much. Now I have a place where I can interact with all manner of like-minded individuals, and that's a great feeling.

This fellowship has made me cherish people I don't know, collaborate with companions from all around the world, smile very often (and even laugh out loud sometimes!) and, in general, feel like an important part of something big and wonderful. The club is an outlet of stability and connection that you can return to, in a world full of increasing dangers that seek to drain whimsy and joy. There is comfort in the camaraderie that is freely given. The acceptance freely offered. The kindness’s freely shared. And bonding, not just over Prof. Tolkien’s incredible works, but over genuine curiosity and excitement.

I enjoy the daily games that bring me in, and the active and passionate community that keeps me here. It’s been fun to solve quests and discuss lore with people who are equally interested in the legendarium. The site has that old internet feel with modern internet sensibilities.

In absolutely no way was I expecting to get into this so much when I found out that the fan club was announced. It is very apparent that this is a labour of love and made by the fans for the fans. I keep coming back because this is my favorite universe since the first time I got scared in the cinema watching The Fellowship of the Ring as a child. It could also be my love for collecting mathoms.

It’s not often I find companions who are akin to myself in my love and adoration for the world Tolkien provides in text and illustration! This club provides them and more! It’s a wonderful and well-kept corner of the world that the Keepers have thought up and acted on! Some companions feel as if I’ve known them for years!

This club truly feels like a community and it's so wholesome! Every member and staff I have interacted with all have genuinely kind hearts. Also, I love daily riddles and collectables are an awesome bonus! The effort put into this club is legendary!

Being a huge fan of Middle-earth since I discovered it in 2003, I love sites and fan clubs dedicated to the franchise I love. I was always on lordoftherings(.)net and exploring all the goodies there, so when the new Lord of the Rings Fan Club was announced over the summer I was so elated. A place where I get to engage with my favorite franchise with other fans, sharing my love for these stories and characters. I love all the features and games the site offers and gives good reason to visit every day!

I'm so very grateful for this site. As I've mentioned, I live in the middle of nowhere and haven't really had friends who I could fully share my love of Tolkien with. The fan club is fun and wholesome wrapped into one! I love the atmosphere that has been created here, and all the gentle stroking that keeps it that way. The daily games and quests are all so fun, with just enough personal competition that it has me hooked! As a geek who obsessed over my favorite things, it's fun to have somewhere to go for my Middle Earth love---somewhere that is away from socal media (and away from all that comes with social media). At its heart, Middle Earth is about community. This club gives people the opportunity to find that community without having to stumble through the mire of social media. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this experience.

The Official Fan Club feels like the old web again. Not louder. Just alive. I have not had this great time on the interwebs since the early 2000s, on TOR, for movie buzz. The books are old by the Professor’s clock, the films belong to the recent past, yet— the room is full. The tale was written down so it would not be lost. This club is one of the places it is still kept. Here we are cordial like Elves, Men, Dwarves, and Hobbits at their best — even the Balrog wipes his feet.

Firstly, the sense of community here is quite amazing. So many people joined by a common love of all things Tolkien. 🥰 I also love the daily diversions, they have become a morning ritual.

I am so grateful that this club exists. I don’t have many friends or family who are as into LoTr and Tolkien as I. My companions here are friends I didn’t know I had, and the Fellowships are a great home base-especially the campfire. Love the common room. Things are always hopping there. This fanclub is just one piece in a much larger garden that has been tended to and occupied by fans for many years, and it's enjoyable to visit.
