The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.

The Fellowship of the Ring Chapter 6: Lothlórien
This Mathom honors those who have sought out the living green world and shared a growing thing in remembrance of the White Tree of Gondor. May it stand as a sign that hope, though hidden for a time, can flourish once more.
Held since September 2026
Every year on March 25th, readers around the world gather for Tolkien Reading Day, organized by the Tolkien Society since 2003, to celebrate the life and work of J. R. R. Tolkien. The date memorializes the destruction of The One Ring of Power, in "The Lord of the Rings", when "the Preciousss" in Gollum's grasp is destroyed, as he slips, falls and perishes in the fires of Mount Doom. A day to revisit beloved passages, reflect on your favorite quotes, and honor the legacy of Middle-earth and the stories that continue to inspire generations. We've got one simple question ... what will YOU be reading?

Spotted in the wild: 𝘋𝘰𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘪𝘦: 𝘈𝘯 𝘈–𝘡 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘰𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘦𝘯 is currently on shelves wherever fine books are sold. We spotted a copy at the historic Powell’s Books in Portland, OR., one of the the largest bookstores in the country.
J. R. R. Tolkien is celebrated as the father of the fantasy genre and he populated his books with Hobbits, Orcs, Elves, Dragons, and Dwarves... but as in all epic tales, there can be only one utlimate fate. "Doomed to Die" is a uniquely irreverent glance at the world of Tolkien. It began as an contained, focused Inktober project and grew, in the telling, to a book!middleearthent
In the quiet beauty of Rivendell, the Last Homely House East of the Sea, Arwen Evenstar and Aragorn, son of Arathorn, stand together upon the bridge, love and destiny entwined. Arwen’s timeless grace and Aragorn’s quiet strength speak of ancient bonds, hard-won hope, and a future yet to be claimed. Together, they embody a love that endures beyond fate, a guiding light through the shadows of a changing world.
